A traditional day

When the pilgrims first came to America they were in search of freedom. They wanted the freedom to worship God freely. When the pilgrims came to this great nation many did not survive the first winter. Later they came to meet some Indians who taught them how to plant corn and many other things. In return when the food was harvested they invited the Indians to feast with them. The pilgrims made this a way to thank God for what they had. It was the start of a new tradition. Now each year we gather together with family and friends and share what we are most grateful for just as the pilgrims did with the Indians on that special day. It is a special holiday for me because I can be with the ones I love and I can share how special they are to me.

getting a pet?

When getting a pet, there are things you must consider. One must think about how often he or she will be home. Some pets need to be close to people at all times. Usually, dogs are in this category. Try to think about whether or not this animal could affect your health in any way. Some animals can cause allergic reactions. Different animals are used to different habitats. You should ask yourself, "How much space will my pet need according to their size and species?" Some pets need to live in bigger homes rather than tiny apartments. If you ever consider getting a pet, think it through carefully for your sake and the pets.

Did you ever think about how some foods can be eaten backwards? I have thought of some! Pizza starting from the crust to the tip and the same with pie. Can you think of any foods that can be eaten backwards? If so please send me a comment and let me know.

snow

Yesterday was the first day of snow for us. I love it when it snows there is something so comforting about it. I fell asleep in the car this morning and when I got out it was ice cold! Good thing I had my huge warm jacket on this morning! I have always loved snow. I love to go sledding when the hill that we live on is ice and slick. Today the snow is supposed to get high. it sounds like the perfect opportunity to make snow angles. Like I said I love snow. So hope you can enjoy it like I do! Enjoy your day and thank God for all the beauty in his creations from spring flowers to winters snow covered trees. God bless.

thanksgiving

Autumn is here again. The time of year when you bundle up and thank God for all that you have. I love autumn,I love it when the leaves change and harvest time starts. What I love the most about thanksgiving though is when you sit down at a table with your friends and family and thank God for all that you have. God has truly blessed me and so I give thanks to him every day. So enjoy this thanksgiving better than the last. And remember to thank God for what you have.

Friends

Have you ever been in a fight with a friend or a loved one? I am sure that most everyone has. I know that I have fought with friends and cousins a lot! The funny thing is that after you fight with someone you wish you weren't mad at them because you really love them. Sometimes you don't even know how it all started. Remember that you can't always be right so don't lose a friend to try and prove you are!

A married couple was sitting in a fine restaurant when the wife looks over at a nearby table and sees a man in a drunken stupor. The husband asks "I notice you've been watching that man for some time now. Do you know him?"
"Yes" she replies. "He's my ex-husband and has been drinking like that since I left him seven years ago. "That's remarkable" the husband replies. "I wouldn't think anybody could celebrate that long."

Never felt better

An old farmer was on his way for a night out on the town. He loaded his old hound dog into the buggy, had his favorite horse pulling the buggy and was on his way. He just rounded a curve when a speeding Mercedes ran into the back of his rig wiping him out. After months recovering he finally had his day in court. The defense called the local sheriff as a witness.
Defense Lawyer: "Did the plaintiff have anything to say when you approached him at the scene of the accident?"


The sheriff replied, "yes the plaintiff said, I never felt better."

Well the plaintiff's lawyer was very upset and whispered to farmer, "Did you really say that?"

The farmer said, "I sure did, but don't worry, just put me on the stand."

So, the plaintiff's lawyer called the farmer and asked, "Did you really say, you 'never felt better'?"

The farmer replied, "I sure did. But you gotta understand. When the sheriff came on the scene, he went over to my dog who was badly injured, bleeding, looked down at him, shook his head, then shot the dog. Then he walked over to my horse who had broken legs, really hurt bad, looked down at him, shook his head, then shot the horse. Then the sheriff came over, looked down at me and asked how I felt. I replied, "I never felt better".

Ever feel like you are not loved enough? Well think about your pet.
they sit at home by themselves all day long while you are at work, school, a friends house, maybe even out shopping. How many times do you sit down and spend more than 5-10 minutes just loving on them? If you think about it you are way more loved on than your pets! Next time you see your pet and you have enough time on your hands pet them or just make sure they have what they need. This will make for a healthier relationship with your pet! And when you need someone they will comfort you in return!

Salvation

Isn't it so amazing how the earth began! Man scientists believe in the bang theory even though it seems the only way we are here today to many people who don't know the truth. All true Christians know the truth but for some of us we would have nothing to do with these people because of their beliefs. They may be misled. If a christian is not willing to help them, the christian(s') are just as misled.

Many of us think nothing of the many people in the super market or the people at the subway etc, etc, who are bound for hell! And yet all we worry about is what to wear today what meetings do I have with my clients and have I paid all the bills? You may think bills are something to worry about but eternity is a lot longer than life on earth! We as Christians should put aside our pride and our dignity so that we can take someone with us to heaven when it is time! Many people think that one person will not matter but that is where so many times we have failed to do our part and lead someone to Christ. Sometimes we have been looking forward to something and we are not willing to give it up to lead someone to Christ.

I myself once wanted to lead a little girl I knew to Christ and yet I did not because I was tired and so I went home. A week later the same little girl passed on in a car accident. I was being lead to lead that little girl to Christ. And so if you are ever being lead to help lead someone to Christ do so then because you never know what tomorrow brings for you or anyone else!
